The charcoal is made from hardwood obtained from the clearing of invasive bush on Namibian farms.

The Blackthorn (Acacia Mellifera) makes up 80% of the product packed. The balance is made-up of Candle Thorn (Acacia Hebeclada) and Mopane (Colophospermum mopane).
